Privacy On/Off

The Gigaset 2402 has a system setting for call privacy, conf igurable for each line.

If Privacy is ON, then idle mobiles are prevented from joining calls that are already in progress. The CONFERENCE feature must be used to create a three party call.

If Privacy is OFF, then an idle mobile can I . oin an external line call that is already in progress without having to conference. The idle mobile can join the call by pressing the JOIN1-0or 2) soft key for the active line. A tone is presented to the active callers to advise that a third person (internal) has joined the call.

Creating New Entry

2.VVhen the button light begins to blink slowly, you have up to 90 seconds to register the handsets.

At the Cordless; Handset:

1 . Press 8 to turn on handset

2.Press OK at the ' Please Register' prompt

3.Enter PIN (Default PIN is 0000)

4.Choose intercom number, press OK

Making a Call

External Calls (select a line if prompted)

1.Dial number, Press TALK or

2.Press TALK and dial number

Internal Calls

1.Press (9

2.Enter intercom number 1-8from the list displayed by pressing the related keypad number. All registered mobiles on the system will be shown, listing intercom number and name.

3.Press ALL INT soft key or pressK) to call all handsets.

Note: The line number (1-1or-2)for the ringing line is displayed. If you have Caller ID*, the caller's name and number will

also be displayed.

Call Handling - External Calls

END Call:

1.When you hear the call waiting tone on the line, press TALK to answer the call waiting call.

TRANSFER the Call to Another Mobile:

Without Announcing It:

Note: If the transferred call is not answered within 30 seconds, the call will return to you.

To Announce the Transfer:

1. Press HOLD.

2.Press Sthen enter the intercom number of the other mobile.

3.When answered, announce the call and then press the TRANSFIR soft key to complete the transfer.
